Jarrahdale Playgroup offers two programs presently but are looking to expand in 2021. If you are interested in becoming a session host, please contact us!
All sessions are covered by Playgroup WA Insurance at a cost of $35 annually per family ($15 concession with sighted card). This covers all children and all carers and is mandatory for for all sessions. Insurance payments are due by the third visit.
Jarrahdale Playgroup Annual membership is available from 2021 for $250/year which covers the whole family! Perfect for larger families. Individual pricing information available below.
Playgroup (0 – 5y)
Time : Tuesdays 9am – 11:30am
Term : All
Cost: $3/session or $25/term

Playgroup is open to all children ages 0 – 5 and any parent, grandparent or carer who is interested in attending. The session is informal and unstructured. The rough guide to the session is free play from 9 to 10, a craft to 10:30, fruit time to 11 and then free play again until pack up. Crafts can include cutting and sticking, playdough, bubbles, drawing or many more.
Wildschool (0- 15y)
Time : Thursdays 10am – 2pm
Term : All
Cost: $50/term per family
Session Leader: Anzie & Mandy
Jarrahdale Wildschool is a playgroup for younger siblings of homeschoolers. The session provides a double edged service, Children under 6 enter a session ran by a qualified childhood educator with a variety of play based activities. Children over 7 enter a session where they can work collaboratively on a range of nature based projects and give the younger children important independent play time. The whole group then ends with a hike and a chapter book engagement session.
Pre – Kindy (3y)
Time: Thursdays 9:30am – 11am
Term : 3 & 4
Cost: $50/term

Our 3yo Pre Kindy program runs for terms 3 & 4 of the school calendar and are ran in collaboration with the local primary school. Our session leader is the principal who is specialised in early childhood education and highly experienced. The session is structured and introduces students to following a routine entry, practices listening skills and mat sitting and plenty of fine & gross motor learning by play.
OPEN FOR EOI: Musical Tots
Time : Mondays 9:30am – 11am
Term : Term 1 trial, all terms if successful

Music is an important part of child development, helping improve brain power and social skills, foster creativity and expression and most of all – it’s fun! This class will be focused at 2-5 year olds and involve sing-a-long songs as well as kids playing their own percussion instruments. Kids will play independently and in groups.

Fathers Group will be a dedicated male playgroup for children aged 0-5 and their male carers – grandparents, adult brothers, au-pairs and fathers are all welcome. Similar to the playgroup session the rough guide to the session is free play from 9 to 10, an activity to 10:30, fruit time to 11 and then free play again until pack up. Activities may involve guest speakers or group work from time to time.
