Jarrahdale Playgroup offers two programs presently but are looking to expand.
All sessions are covered by Playgroup WA Insurance at a cost of $35 annually per family ($15 concession with sighted card). This covers all children and all carers and is mandatory for for all sessions. Insurance payments are due by the third visit.
Jarrahdale Playgroup Annual membership is available from 2021 for $250/year which covers the whole family! Perfect for larger families. Individual pricing information available below.

Duplo Club is open to children ages 3 – 5. The session is semi – formal and structured. Children will be guided through an instructional building card as a group and build their creation individually minimal parental assistance. Once complete, children are encouraged to free play for the remainder of the session. Our session goals are to promote listening and fine motor skills in a fun environment.

Mothercraft is open for expecting mothers, primary infant carers and babies from 0-2. The session is formally led and structured. Each week a new topic will be covered such as baby care (eg. nappy choices, bathing, feeding, medication) to pregnancy (eg. development, birth, support) to self care (eg. mental health, social networks). Sessions will frequently involve visits from professionals who can offer guidance.

The child health nurse is an essential part of every new parent’s schedule. We aim to host a drop in session so parents can weigh their babies, complete health checks, ask questions or raise concerns. Child health nurses can also assist with a range of other services such as referrals and specialist recommendations and also provide services for parents such as lactation specialists or mental health assistance.

The intergenerational playgroup will bring together young and old. With older generations having so much knowledge to be passed along and the young bringing such joy, it’s sure to be a wholesome exchange. We are looking to team with a local old peoples home to bring them in to the playgroup to engage with the children in activities such as gardening, crafting, reading and music.
